Waiting to go Fishing
Los Muertos Beach is not a gay beach but is gay friendly.  You will see straights, gays and families all enjoying the surf, sand and sun without conflict.  Both the beach in general and Ritmos in particular enforce a code of behavior that makes certain everyone gets to enjoy themselves.  You may relax under a Ritmos palapa and all they ask is that you buy food or drink and not bring your own.  They own the building and have the Federal Beach Concession for the area in front.  They have a guard who sees that everyone behaves or leaves.  Guards also roam the grounds of Casa Corazon at night to insure no intruders stop by.  Live music on weekends is on the beach stage during the day and inside Ritmos at night. During the week they may have a DJ or just recorded music for your pleasure while you relax under a palapa.  The food is outstanding, we love the chicken fingers and the chicken soup is superb!  Beer costs just about $3.00 US and considering the location on one of the world's most popular beaches, is a steal.  Soft drinks and bottled water are also available as well as most popular cocktails and wine.  Dinner inside is more elaborate with a great menu and the best sunsets on the bay.
The Beach 2 Minutes from your Room
A car is not necessary as there is great entertainment, restaurants and shopping not over 15 minutes walk away.  A few more minutes and you will be at the Municipal Crafts Market, the craft market on the River Cuale and the main section of the ocean front Malecon where you will find more shopping, dining and great sand sculptures as well as conventional sculpture.  Walk back home or take a cheap cab as we often do.  Sam's, Costco and WalMart are a short cab ride away if you need to do some serious shopping.  Enjoy the beach vendors and their wares and a polite "no, gracias" sends them on their way but keep your eyes open as they often have just what you are looking for and you don't even have to leave your beach chair.  We have seen people getting a massage right in their beach chair and from the looks on their faces, they seemed to be very pleased.  Ride a jet ski or parasail right in front of your room.  Talk to Adolfo about other tours or renting a jeep or VW Bug for a day.  Do it all or do nothing except relax.  Eat every meal out or cook in with everything you need supplied. Contact us at innkeeper@casafloresmexico.com with questions or for reservations.
